fiber art gallery
Spun on and named for the day my daughter started Kindergarten, from a mixture of colors and fibers that are
playful and fun, just like her! This yarn was made from a package of a dozen baby cakes batts from
LOOP, with all kinds of fibers included. I broke each
batt into 2-3 pieces and spun them as random stripes, then plied with 100% silk yarn from Habu. Each stripe got a single glass
bead embedded into a small supercoil as I plied, for a jeweled effect. The photos don't do this one justice. It measures
about 94 yards, 4.1 ounces including beads (fiber is about 3oz).
